A bride doesn’t have to literally trash her dress to have a “trash the dress” photoshoot. This photoshoot is just another way to get awesome photos of the bride in her wedding dress post-wedding. While some brides choose to roll on damp freshly mowed grass or wade in the salty waters of the beach in their wedding garb, some might prefer to do less damaging things to their priceless dress. If you’re one of the latter, here are 5 “trash the dress” ideas worth considering:
- Have a walk in the park – embrace your inner child by visiting the park or playground where you grew up in. Take photos on the seesaw, swing sets, and all those places you used to enjoy when you were a kid.
- Show your wild side – motorcycles and wedding dresses don’t usually go together but the contrast of your beautiful dress and the shiny motorcycle will look great
- Horse around - who says you have to be on a real horse to get great thrash the dress photos? A carousel from a theme park or amusement park would look just as great (or even better).
- Have a ball – sporty brides can show off their skills in their wedding dress (that is, unless you’re a water polo player)
- Work it! – Are you a workaholic and proud of it? Why not have your trash the dress shoot in your workplace? Make sure to clear it with your employer first though.
